Anyone aged 18 or over with a personal Discentik account can create and sell courses.
Here's the whole journey, from your first draft to your first payout.

## 1. Become an instructor

1. Sign in and select **Instructor** in the top bar.
2. On **Profile → Workspaces**, select **Become an instructor**.

The Instructor workspace opens straight away. From now on, use the workspace menu in
the top bar to switch between **Learning** (taking courses) and **Instructor**
(creating them).

## 2. Create your course

1. In the Instructor workspace, open **My Courses**.
2. Select **Create course**.
3. Enter a **Course name** and select **Create course**. You can rename it later.

Your course opens in the editor. Add modules and stages from the **Modules** panel,
then fill in each stage. Save as you go. Saving never publishes anything.

## 3. Set a price (or make it free)

1. Open your course's **Settings → Commerce**.
2. Choose **Free course**, or choose **Paid course** and enter a **Price**.
3. For a paid course, set the **Included AI balance (EUR)** learners get with it.

The allowed price range is shown under the price field.

## 4. Publish

1. Open **Publishing** in your course.
2. Select **Submit public update**.

Our team reviews every course before it goes live. You'll see
**Update submitted. Awaiting approval.** while it's being reviewed. Once approved,

## 5. Get paid

Before you can earn from a paid course:

1. Open **Instructor → Earnings → Payout account**.
2. Read and accept the **Instructor licence**.
3. Select **Set up payout account** and follow Stripe's steps to add your identity and
   bank details.

## Good to know

- Building and editing your course by hand is free. AI-assisted authoring and testing

Start teaching on Discentik

Open the instructor workspace and select **My Courses**. Choose an existing course, or
select **Create course** beside the sorting control or from the final tile in the course
grid. The course workspace keeps the outline, content, testing, settings, and publication
steps together.

When you start a new course, enter a **Course name** in the dialog and select
**Create course**. The name can be up to 160 characters. You can change it later in
the course's **Settings**. Choosing **Cancel** closes the dialog without creating a
draft. The same naming step applies when you create an organisation-owned course.

In **Settings > General**, edit **Course title** and select **Confirm** to save it.
Leaving the field or pressing Enter does not save the title. Select **Cancel** or
press Escape in the field to restore the previous title. Leaving General without
confirming discards the unconfirmed title edit. If saving fails, your typed title
stays available so you can retry. Learners receive title changes after the next
approved publication.

The Instructor workspace is available only to personal accounts. If your account is
linked to an organisation, an Admin must grant you **Content Author** access. You then
create organisation-owned courses from **Organisation** > **Courses**; those courses are
never published as personal courses. Read

If you have a personal learner account and Instructor is not enabled yet, select
**Instructor** in the top navigation. The platform opens **Profile > Workspaces** and
focuses the Instructor setup action. After you enable it, use the Learning and
Instructor workspace chooser to move between taking and creating courses.

## Creating courses during early access

Creating, testing and publishing courses requires adult eligibility, current admission
and the appropriate personal Instructor or organisation authoring permissions. When
public registration is enabled, eligible people can create a personal account without
a beta invitation. Under the invitation-only staged policy, a current personal
invitation is also required, including for existing accounts. Organisation membership,
processing approval and authoring permissions remain separate checks.

Published courses follow their normal catalogue visibility, review, enrolment and
purchase rules. Learners still need an eligible purchase, free enrolment or assignment,
and AI use draws on the applicable AI balance. Creating or publishing a course does not
start a seller account or guarantee earnings; seller availability and commercial terms
are separate from registration.
Paid publication and checkout also require the applicable commercial, tax and provider
readiness checks; opening registration does not approve them.

## Plan the learning path

Start with the outcome learners should achieve. Divide the course into stages that
explain a concept, demonstrate a task, provide practice, or check understanding. Give
each stage a clear title so learners can understand their progress.

## Add stages and activities

Build your course directly in the visual editor and its settings. Links, tables,
formatted text, and Canvas starter documents use built-in editing tools. Course
authoring does not have a Code mode, and manual editing does not use AI balance.

Open the content navigation menu in the editor header. **Add module** stays at the
top of the **Modules** panel while you scroll, and a newly added module is brought
into view. Expand a module to add or arrange its stages.

Use the course outline to add and arrange stages. Depending on the activity, you can
add written guidance, guided prompts, evaluation criteria, walkthrough steps, or
document-writing instructions.

For a graded **Chat** or **Canvas** activity, list the criteria under **What learners
must do**. Learners see each criterion's label in their feedback, and the AI grader
marks it met, partly met or missing with a quote from their work. Write one observable
requirement per criterion, in the learner's terms, and use **How the grader checks
this** to say exactly what must appear. The editor shows a hint beside any criterion
that is vague, checks more than one thing, is written as "The learner…" or describes
an action the grader cannot see, such as copying or revising.

Write instructions directly to the learner. Explain what they need to do, what a good
result looks like, and what they should do next. For AI activities, describe the
learning goal and the assistance the AI should provide. Do not include secrets or
customer-specific information in course content or prompts.

Save your changes before moving to another section.

Use section controls to arrange supporting sections and choose whether they can
collapse and start expanded. The required first Problem section stays first.
Activity settings also let you choose which supported learner tools are available;
file uploads still follow the activity's upload settings and allowed file types.

For a **Chat** activity, the heading at the top of the instruction panel is the
activity title. This is the heading learners see in the player too. The text below
it contains the learner-facing task instructions. Criterion labels are shown to
learners in their feedback; only **How the grader checks this** and the additional
instructions stay internal. **Canvas** activities keep a separate editable problem heading.
Changing either a title or the instructions updates your draft; learners already
taking a published release keep that release until an approved update is available
and they switch versions.

## Ask the AI Assistant

Open the course assistant at the bottom right and describe what you want. It chooses
whether to answer, research, or edit, and selects the narrowest appropriate target.
There are no Ask/Edit modes or required tool selectors. Include any limits in your
message, such as “only improve this stage” or “explain without editing or searching
the web”. It asks for clarification when the target or request is unclear.

Use this Assistant for AI improvements; sections no longer have separate
**Enhance with AI** buttons. Review its changes in the visual editor and select
**Save** when ready. The Assistant does not save or publish for you. All built-in
editing tools remain usable without AI balance.

### AI balance, usage and safe chat

The reminder below the message box explains that chatting uses AI balance and links
to this guidance in a new tab, so your course workspace stays open.

Assistant questions and edits use AI, so they draw on the Instructor balance shown
under **Profile** > **AI usage**. Reviewing what the assistant produced is still your
responsibility: check its wording and any factual claim before learners see it.
The wallet icon beside the **Usage & safety** note opens a compact label. Hover over
or focus it to see the amount left, rounded to two decimal places. **View usage** opens
your usage history in a new tab.
When the balance is exhausted, **Add AI balance** opens the available
personal top-up packages in a new tab. An in-progress reservation is not shown
as a charge; the display refreshes when the request finishes.

Do not share personal or sensitive data in the chat. AI can make mistakes: review
its responses and proposed course changes before saving or sharing them.

## Test as a learner

In **Content**, select **Test** in the course header beside **Save**.
On mobile, use the flask icon for Test.

Complete the course as a learner would. Check that instructions are clear, stages
appear in the intended order, navigation works, and evaluations give useful feedback.
Test both successful and unsuccessful responses where appropriate.

In Test, feedback marks any criterion that was graded differently across grading runs.
Reword it to be more specific, then test again. Learners never see this mark.

AI interactions in Test mode use your workspace balance. Opening
Test, reading content, and moving between stages do not use AI balance.

Testing does not publish the course or change a learner's real progress.

## Check the course details

Before publishing, review the title, summary, audience, category, cover image, and
other course details. Make sure the description accurately explains what learners
will achieve and who the course is for.

Presentation supports Markdown headings, lists, emphasis, code examples, tables, and
HTTPS links (plus links within Discentik). Inline images, raw HTML, embedded forms,
and unsafe link schemes are not supported. Upload the image through the course cover
control instead. Each formatted presentation section must stay under 200,000
characters. Unsupported formatting is rejected when you submit, even if it was
saved through a different editor. Previews and learner pages hide unsupported
embedded media and controls in older content.

The presentation and cover are part of the submitted course revision. A reviewer
checks them alongside the lessons. Changing your draft presentation does not change
the approved learner version; even a small presentation update needs a new reviewed
release. Linked websites can change independently, so use trustworthy destinations.

For a paid course, the Presentation preview also shows the current course price,
purchase action and buyer trust indicators. These use the same presentation components
as the public course page so you can review how the offer appears before submission.

An older published course may still display a cover linked from another website.
Before submitting its next revision, replace that linked cover using the course
cover upload so it can be screened and stored with your course. This does not change
the version learners currently see.

Cover images are first resized in your browser to reduce the upload. The trusted
platform server then validates, decodes, and re-encodes every accepted cover as
compressed WebP, discarding embedded source metadata before sending the server-made
bytes to OpenAI for automated content-safety screening and public storage. A modified
client cannot bypass this server step. If validation, server compression, or OpenAI
safety screening is unavailable, the cover is not uploaded; try again rather than
bypassing the check. Animated images are stored as a static optimized image.

Upload attempts are protected before the platform reads the image: an account can
start up to 20 attempts in 10 minutes and 100 in a rolling 24-hour period. Shared
network limits are 60 attempts in 10 minutes and 300 in 24 hours. An account can
have at most four uploads, totalling 20 MB, in progress at once. If a limit is
reached, the message tells you to wait; the denied image is not screened or stored.
Interrupted and rejected uploads are removed automatically from their exact reserved
storage location.

## Choose promotion preferences

For a paid course, open **Settings → Commerce → Discentik promotions**. Promotions
are allowed by default. You can opt the course out or set the largest campaign
discount Discentik may apply in 5% increments, up to 90%. The workspace shows the
published list price and the lowest permitted campaign price once protected costs
are available. Platform Admin staff create and audit campaigns; instructors do not
create sale dates or coupon codes. Your published list price does not change.

## Submit and publish

Resolve any validation messages shown in the workspace. When the course is ready,
follow the publication action shown for your account. If review is required, the
course remains unpublished until the review is complete.

In **My Courses**, each card shows its current review state once: **Draft**, **In
review**, **Approved**, or **Changes requested**. Open the course for the detailed
publication history and any reviewer feedback.

For an existing learner release, **Published** identifies the version learners see
now. Use **Submit public update** or **Submit private update** to send your latest
draft for approval. The published version remains available while the update is
reviewed and is replaced automatically only after approval. Use **Unpublish course**
to stop discovery and new purchases. Learners who already purchased the course
keep access to their approved release; other new access is unavailable.

Upload course videos and downloadable resources through this course workspace. A
review submission accepts only protected media belonging to the course owner or its
organisation; a copied storage path from another account is rejected and is never
opened by a reviewer.

Resource and video links must use HTTP/HTTPS or a link within Discentik. Script,
data, caller-created blob and ambiguous redirect-style URLs are not supported.

Resource uploads support PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, DOC, XLS,
PPT, TXT and CSV. Video uploads support MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, OGG and OGV.
Unsupported formats are rejected before upload. GIFs, SVGs and animated resource
images cannot pass approval; export a static PNG, JPG or WebP instead. For an
unsupported video or document, export it in a supported format—changing the filename
extension alone does not convert the file. Approval also checks the stored file and
its content; choosing a supported extension is not a safety approval.

If an older draft or imported course contains an unsupported resource or video,
remove that attachment from the draft and upload a supported replacement before
submitting for approval. This does not alter the release learners already use.

Media paths must match the uploaded file exactly, with no leading or trailing
whitespace. If a pasted or imported reference is rejected, reattach that cover,
video, or resource using the workspace upload controls before submitting.


After changing a published course, use **Test** to check the affected stages again
before submitting the update. Keep learner-facing instructions and course details
accurate as the course evolves.

## Keep course and authoring balances separate

The included learner AI balance belongs to the course purchase or assignment.
Instructor preview and workspace-assistant activity use the separate monthly
Instructor authoring balance. Changing the learner balance or course price does
not increase the monthly authoring balance. AI balances fund AI usage and cannot
be withdrawn as money.


## Review course learning results

Your personal **Instructor > Overview** shows a small learning summary under each
recent course. **Completed** compares completed runs with learners who started the
current published version; learners who only received access are not counted as started.
**First-try pass rate** shows how often the first evaluated attempt at a stage passed.
Its sample counts each learner and stage pair once, so it is not a count of unique learners.

These summaries include personal learners with analytics enabled and exclude
organisation learning, practice attempts and other published versions. Carried-forward
progress can contribute to completion, but does not create an evaluation attempt.
Publishing a new version can therefore start with no results. No recorded attempts
means no rate is available; it does not mean the course is easy or difficult.

Use the results to spot instructions worth reviewing, then test an improvement before
submitting an update. They do not establish learner ability or workplace performance.
Course management remains available if learning results cannot be loaded.

Keep course and authoring balances separate

If an older draft or imported course contains an unsupported resource or video, remove that attachment from the draft and upload a supported replacement before submitting for approval. This does not alter the release learners already use. Media paths must match the uploaded file exactly, with no leading or trailing whitespace. If a pasted or imported reference is rejected, reattach that cover, video, or resource using the workspace upload controls before submitting. After changing a published course, use Test to check the affected stages again before submitting the update. Keep learner facing instructions and course details accurate as the course evolves. Keep course and authoring balances separate The included learner AI balance belongs to the course purchase or assignment. Instructor preview and workspace assistant activity use the separate monthly Instructor authoring balance. Changing the learner balance or course price does not increase the monthly authoring balance. AI balances fund AI usage and cannot be withdrawn as money. Review course learning results Your personal Instructor Overview shows a small learning summary under each recent course. Completed compares completed runs with learners who started the current published version; learners who only received access are not counted as started. First try pass rate shows how often the first evaluated attempt at a stage passed. Its sample counts each learner and stage pair once, so it is not a count of unique learners. These summaries include personal learners with analytics enabled and exclude organisation learning, practice attempts and other published versions. Carried forward progress can contribute to completion, but does not create an evaluation attempt. Publishing a new version can therefore start with no results. No recorded attempts means no rate is available; it does not mean the course is easy or difficult. Use the results to spot instructions worth reviewing, then test an improvement before submitting an update. They do not establish learner ability or workplace performance. Course management remains available if learning results cannot be loaded.

Organise course stages, add activities, test the learner experience, and publish.

Create and publish a course

In **Content**, use the left (**Previous**) or right (**Next**)
arrow beside the stage counter to move between stages in the current module. These controls are available
in the personal Instructor workspace and the Organisation course editor when you have
access to author the course.

**Previous** is disabled on the first stage and **Next** on the last. Both are
disabled when a module contains only one stage. Open the course outline to select
another module, jump to a particular stage, or add and arrange content.

Moving between stages keeps your unsaved edits in the current draft. It does not
save, submit for review, publish, evaluate an activity, or change learner progress.
Use **Save** to persist your changes before leaving the course workspace.

A yellow dot at the top right of **Save** indicates unsaved changes. Hover over
Save or focus it with the keyboard to see **Unsaved changes**. The dot disappears
after saving. **Discard changes** sits immediately to the left of Save; it discards
your unsaved edits after confirmation.

On narrower screens, the navigation moves below the module heading. The arrows have
accessible names and tooltips. All content editing uses the visual editor and its
built-in settings.

In Content , use the left ( Previous ) or right ( Next ) arrow beside the stage counter to move between stages in the current module. These controls are available in the personal Instructor workspace and the Organisation course editor when you have access to author the course. Move between stages while editing a course

Saving changes to a published course updates your draft, not the version learners
can access. Your approved release remains available while you prepare an update.

## From Save to Publishing

1. Edit the course and select **Save** in **Content**.
2. A successful save shows a temporary **Course saved.** notification. When saved
   changes are confirmed against the approved release, that notification explains
   **Your changes are saved, but learners can't see them yet.** Submit them for
   review when ready; saving alone does not publish them.
3. Open **Publishing** from the section navigation. Nothing is submitted by
   navigating there.
4. Select **Submit public update** (or **Submit private update** for a private audience) and review
   the confirmation. Add optional release notes, then confirm.

There is no large saved-change banner in Content or Publishing. Reopening a course
does not replay the save notification. If the approved release cannot be checked,
the notification only confirms the save; normal publishing controls remain available.

Saved industry tags and instructor changes also update this guidance. Industry
tags save immediately; instructor edits count after you select **Save** in
**Instructors**. You do not need to change or resave the course text to see the
indicator for these updates. Automatic saves do not replay the Content save toast.

In Publishing, an **Unpublished changes** indicator above the update option
for the current audience highlights saved changes that are not yet live. The
**i** button beside it explains that saving does not make the changes available to
learners until review. Hover, focus, or click it to read the explanation; Escape
dismisses it. The existing publishing actions are unchanged. The indicator disappears
while changes are unsaved, while saving, or after the update is submitted for review.

## When there are no changes

If your saved draft matches the live release and you have no unsaved edits, the
update action for that same audience is disabled and says **No changes to publish**.
The check includes course details, modules, categories, industries, and instructors.
Release notes and the notification checkbox alone do not count as a course update.
Creating and retiring a stage before it was ever published does not count either;
removing a stage learners can currently access still does.
First publication, changing the audience, and republishing a withdrawn course
remain available. Unpublishing is not blocked by this check.

If changes cannot be verified, publishing remains available; the server checks
again when you submit. It normally rejects an unchanged course before automated
moderation, and always checks the exact live release again before creating the
review. If another release is approved while you are submitting, reload the course
before trying again. Unsaved edits are still saved before submission and then
checked on the server.

If the server answers **No changes to publish**, the saved draft stays saved and
the update controls refresh. Any edits you make while that request is running
remain in your editor as unsaved changes; the refresh does not discard them.

## Release versions and review

The publishing button shows the next release as **Send version N for approval**.
The first publication starts at version 1; later publications use the highest
published version plus one. Saving, withdrawing, rejection, and resubmission do
not consume release numbers. The final number is assigned when approval creates
the release. If the release history cannot be verified, the button shows
**Send for approval** without a number.

The **Published · Version N** status identifies the release learners currently
see. The save notification and info explanation do not repeat that number.

**Update submitted. Awaiting approval.** means your update has been sent for review.
Learners keep access to the existing approved version until the update is approved.
Saving alone never starts review or changes who can access the course. Further
edits are not automatically added to an already-submitted revision; follow the
review controls in **Publishing**.

Saving a draft does not publish it. Send your update for review when it is ready.

Publish your saved course changes

Open a course workspace and organise the course into modules and stages. Use the
stage type that matches the learner action you need:

- **Explanation** introduces concepts, instructions, or reference material.
- **Video** places supported media in the learning sequence.
- **Chat** guides a learner through an AI conversation.
- **Canvas or document work** supports structured drafting and revision.
- **Evaluated exercises** check a response against the activity requirements.

Write one clear outcome for each stage. Tell learners what to submit, what safe data
practice requires, and what completion looks like. Select **Test** after structural
or instruction changes; the editor view is not a substitute for the learner view.

Before submitting for review, check stage order, required completion rules, links,
media, and the instructions used by AI activities.

## Check the workspace and walkthroughs

The editable workspace follows the learner's layout: narrow Chat previews switch
between Instructions and Chat, while Canvas previews also include a Canvas tab.
Preview tool labels reflect the tools enabled in the stage. These controls show
the layout; use **Test** to try the real player and its guided walkthroughs.

In **Stage Settings**, **Required stage** is enabled by default. Turn it off for
optional material that should not count toward required course completion.

Authored explanation sections are course content. The introductory Chat, Canvas,
and video walkthroughs are provided by the platform. Test replays those
walkthroughs so you can check them alongside your content.

Open a course workspace and organise the course into modules and stages. Choose explanation, video, chat, canvas, and exercise stages for a coherent learner journey.

Design course activities

Learners can use **Contact instructor** on a course page or in My Learning, including before enrolling. Each conversation belongs to one course and instructor. Open **Communication** in your Instructor workspace, or the existing organisation inbox, to read and reply. You can also follow a notification directly to the conversation in **Messages**.

Use the search and filters to find conversations, and **Load more conversations** or **Load older messages** for earlier content. Instructor read, star and archive controls remain available; learners cannot change these flags.

In **Profile > Notifications**, **Course messages and replies** controls new in-app alerts. Alerts are enabled unless you turn them off. Turning them off does not stop message delivery: return to **Messages** to read replies. Messages do not send email notifications.

Contact actions are available only for real, visible instructors currently allowed to communicate on the course. The Discentik fallback profile cannot receive messages.

Do not ask learners to send passwords, payment-card details, private keys, sensitive
personal data, or confidential workplace documents. Account billing and organisation
permissions should be handled by the responsible support or organisation administrator.

If a message or course item raises a safety concern, use the available reporting route.
Reporting creates a moderation signal; it does not automatically prove a violation or
remove content.

Manage learner communication

Click a text section in the visual course editor, then paste your text. The editor
uses the clipboard's plain-text version, keeping words and line breaks rather than
the fonts, colours, images, links, or styles from the source document.

Markdown symbols and HTML tags pasted as text stay literal text. Use the editor
toolbar when you want to apply formatting intentionally. Visible web addresses may
still become clickable in the rendered preview.

If you selected text, the pasted text replaces that selection. You can undo the
paste normally. Pasting an image or content without a plain-text version does not
replace your selection; copy its text instead.

Existing saved content outside the pasted selection retains its formatting.
Use the visual editor's toolbar to edit headings, quotes, lists, inline code,
bold, italic, strikethrough, links, and tables. Existing supported formatted
content opens directly in the visual editor; you do not need to edit source code.

This applies to text sections in the visual course content editor, not the
learner's document canvas. Save your changes and select **Test** to check the course
before submitting an update for review.

## Add text learners can copy

Open a Chat section in the visual editor, place the cursor in a paragraph, and
choose **Text style → Copyable text**. Type or paste the text into the block and
optionally enter a **Copy card label**. You can reopen the block to edit its label
or text. In the learner preview, the card's Copy button copies the text to the
clipboard. This does not require the course assistant or AI balance.

## Open your earnings

**Earnings** is the last item in the Instructor sidebar. Opening it keeps the
sidebar visible, so you can return to Overview or your courses.

Open **Instructor → Earnings**. Existing earnings remain accessible if you turn off
Instructor authoring. Course collaborators do not receive access to your financial
records.

Use **Overview**, **Sales**, **Statements**, **Payouts**, and **Payout account** to
move between your balances, records, and account requirements. **Refresh** checks
the latest available records. These sections use an earnings sub-sidebar on desktop
and a bottom bar on mobile. Each section has its own URL and supports browser Back
and Forward. The selected section is the page title, with its own records and actions.
Refresh keeps loaded figures visible; a temporary failure marks them
as potentially out of date. Losing financial access clears them.

## Tax and reporting details

Your private tax profile separates VAT/GST registration from payment-reporting
identity. Save a pending profile if you are unsure what is required; Finance reviews
the applicable requirements before verifying it. Supply an Australian ABN or US EIN
only where applicable, not a TFN or SSN in this form. Your own income-tax return
remains your responsibility.

## Check availability and account requirements

Earnings shows when new seller monetisation or scheduled transfers are paused.
Existing records remain available during a pause. An empty list means no records
were returned for that section; it does not confirm that paid sales are active.

Seller onboarding, paid publication, transfers and payouts are available to eligible
adult residents of Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia only when the
required market, tax and payout-route checks are complete. United Kingdom seller
onboarding and sales remain unavailable until the separate UK commercial release.

In **Payout account**, review the commercial terms and AI usage tariffs when they
are available. If they have not been published, the page explains that account
activation is unavailable. When eligible, accept the displayed terms, select your
country and, for a Stripe payout route, choose **Set up payout account**. Stripe collects identity and bank
details. Discentik supplies your signed-in account email as the initial Stripe contact.
In Ireland and Spain you accept Stripe's recipient agreement. In the United States you
accept Stripe's full Connected Account Agreement, because Stripe only pays out across
borders to accounts on that agreement; Stripe may ask for more business details. Your
account only receives transfers from Discentik and is not used to take payments.
After returning, refresh and review any outstanding requirements.
If Stripe cannot verify the account, stored details remain visible with an explicit
warning and account actions stay disabled until a successful refresh. Contact support
if verification continues to fail; an old status is not proof that payouts are ready.

The default course currency is EUR for Ireland and Spain, USD for the United States and AUD for Australia. A course has one canonical EUR, GBP, USD or AUD
price. Stripe's recorded balance currency, exchange rate and fees determine the
authoritative settlement evidence; Discentik does not invent a conversion rate.

Paid course prices have a fixed catalogue range. EUR courses can be priced from
€19.99 to €219.99; GBP courses from £19.99 to £199.99; and USD courses from
$19.99 to $199.99. Enter `0` only when offering a free course. The course workspace
shows the applicable range below the price field and rejects prices outside it.

## Read reference exchange-rate estimates

For a USD or GBP course, the commercial offer shows an estimated share only when
the server has a valid reference rate. **Reference exchange rate — estimate only**
shows how many units of the course currency equal 1 EUR, the reference date and
attribution to the [European Central Bank (ECB)](https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml).
This is free reference information: derived estimates are not transaction rates.
The fixed AI charge remains identified in EUR, with its estimated course-currency
amount shown separately. EUR courses need no exchange-rate card.

The reference is frozen with the commercial offer. A new quote requires an available
reference no more than seven days old; the browser does not invent a rate or replace
missing amounts with zero. If a valid reference is unavailable, refresh the saved
course quote or try again later. Existing accepted offers retain their frozen terms.
Actual settlement continues to use Stripe's recorded exchange rate and fees, not
this estimate. Your canonical course price is not automatically converted into
other gross catalogue prices. GBP pricing does not open United Kingdom sales or
seller onboarding.

## Choose promotion participation

Open the course workspace and select **Settings → Commerce → Discentik promotions**.
Paid courses participate by default. You can opt a course out of future platform
campaigns or set its maximum discount in 5% increments, up to 90%. Platform Admin
staff create the public sales and coupon codes; instructors do not need to coordinate
individual campaign dates or distribute platform coupons.

The workspace shows the published list price and the lowest campaign price allowed
for the course. Every campaign must also remain above the protected minimum of 9.99
in the course currency or twice the accepted fixed AI and infrastructure cost,
whichever is higher. For USD, GBP or AUD, the server converts twice the exact EUR cost
using the offer's frozen reference rate and rounds the result up to the next cent.
It does not double an already rounded converted charge. The workspace uses this
exact server minimum in the course currency, alongside your maximum discount;
without an accepted offer and the required evidence, the minimum is unavailable.
Learners see the list price crossed out beside the lower price.
Public sales and coupons do not stack: the lowest eligible price applies.

Your earnings for a discounted sale use the amount the learner actually pays and the
commercial agreement accepted for the course. Opting out stops future promotional
checkouts but does not rewrite a completed purchase or an already reserved Checkout
session.

For an existing connected account, **Manage payout account in Stripe** opens its
hosted account controls, even when new setup is paused, provided your financial
access is still active. A verified account does not override a transfer pause.

## Share your referral link and coupons

Your earning share depends on who brought the buyer. When Discentik brings the sale,
you earn the marketplace share shown in your accepted offer (50% of the net). When
the buyer comes through your own referral link or one of your coupons, you earn the
referral share instead (85% of the net). The offer shows both shares, with an
estimate for a referred sale, before you accept it.

Open the course workspace and select **Settings → Commerce → Your referral link and
coupons**. Copy your referral link and share it anywhere. A buyer who opens it and
buys within 30 days counts as your referral; the most recent referral link they
opened wins. You can also create your own coupon codes for the course, up to its
maximum discount and for up to 31 days each, and end them at any time. Each buyer can
use a coupon once. Buying your own course never counts as a referral.

The share that applies is fixed when the buyer starts Checkout and is recorded with
the sale, so later changes never rewrite a completed purchase.

## Read sales, statements and payouts

**Overview** highlights **Available for release**: eligible earnings before final
transfer checks, not cash available to withdraw or your bank balance. Pausing
transfers does not erase the recorded amount. Future release dates, holds and
unresolved payment details can keep earnings out of this figure.

The **Recent course transactions** table shows the five most recent confirmed
course purchases, with their dates, course titles, current earnings and statuses.
Each row summarizes a purchase and its adjustments; it is not a complete ledger of
every financial movement. Choose **View all sales** for the full breakdown.

Expand **Balance details** for the remaining totals and release schedule.
**Outstanding earnings** is the amount still owed, not lifetime income. **Scheduled
for release** and **On hold** are parts of that total, not extra balances to add to
it. **Transferred to Stripe** is net money already sent to the connected account;
**Bank payouts in progress** is money Stripe is processing for the bank.

Commercial terms show the standard marketplace share. A course may have separately
accepted terms: use the share recorded for each sale to reconcile its earnings.
Expired or abandoned checkout retries are not separate sales. A confirmed payment
can await fee confirmation until its final earnings are reconciled.

**Sales** shows course titles, purchase channels, seat counts, original currency,
provider balance currency, deductions and resulting earnings. Amounts awaiting confirmation remain
unresolved until their payment details are reconciled. Use the recorded terms and
deductions for each sale when reviewing its amount.

**Statements** groups financial records by sales month. **Download CSV** provides
a private copy. CSV headings, channels and statuses follow your interface language;
authored course titles keep their original language. Money is exported in whole
minor units with a separate currency column: an EUR amount of `3441` means €34.41.
Dates use UTC.

**Transferred to Stripe** and a completed bank payout are separate events.
**Payouts** shows the provider status and estimated arrival when available. A failed
payout can require bank details or verification changes in **Payout account**.
Contact support if you cannot resolve the displayed restriction.

## Australian manual bank payments

Australian content owners use a verified manual bank-payment route. Complete the
licence agreement, payout terms and tax details; contact support to arrange secure
beneficiary verification. This route does not require a Stripe Connect account.
Do not enter full bank details in Discentik's tax or evidence fields.

The existing release schedule still applies: sales become eligible on the seventh
day of the second month after the sale month at 09:00 UTC, subject to recorded
holds and verification. This is an eligibility date, not a guaranteed bank-arrival
date. Amounts owed remain recorded in EUR. **Payouts** shows the separately recorded
bank amount and currency, including documented conversion when applicable.
**Prepared — not sent** reserves an amount; **Submitted — awaiting confirmation**
means the bank instruction has been recorded; **Paid** requires completion evidence.
Partial payments leave the remaining earnings owed. Returned amounts appear
separately, and unresolved or held earnings remain recorded.

## Protect your financial records

Your records do not disclose buyer email addresses. Refunds, disputes, holds and
adjustments can change available earnings; review the recorded statuses before
assuming a balance is ready to reach your bank.

authoring does not remove existing earnings or outstanding obligations. Contact
support about account closure when financial matters remain unresolved.

Check availability and account requirements

Open your earnings Earnings is the last item in the Instructor sidebar. Opening it keeps the sidebar visible, so you can return to Overview or your courses. Open Instructor → Earnings . Existing earnings remain accessible if you turn off Instructor authoring. Course collaborators do not receive access to your financial records. Use Overview , Sales , Statements , Payouts , and Payout account to move between your balances, records, and account requirements. Refresh checks the latest available records. These sections use an earnings sub sidebar on desktop and a bottom bar on mobile. Each section has its own URL and supports browser Back and Forward. The selected section is the page title, with its own records and actions. Refresh keeps loaded figures visible; a temporary failure marks them as potentially out of date. Losing financial access clears them. Tax and reporting details Your private tax profile separates VAT/GST registration from payment reporting identity. Save a pending profile if you are unsure what is required; Finance reviews the applicable requirements before verifying it. Supply an Australian ABN or US EIN only where applicable, not a TFN or SSN in this form. Your own income tax return remains your responsibility. Check availability and account requirements Earnings shows when new seller monetisation or scheduled transfers are paused. Existing records remain available during a pause. An empty list means no records were returned for that section; it does not confirm that paid sales are active. Seller onboarding, paid publication, transfers and payouts are available to eligible adult residents of Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia only when the required market, tax and payout route checks are complete. United Kingdom seller onboarding and sales remain unavailable until the separate UK commercial release. In Payout account , review the commercial terms and AI usage tariffs when they are available. If they have not been published, the page explains that account activation is unavailable. When eligible, accept the displayed terms, select your country and, for a Stripe payout route, choose Set up payout account . Stripe collects identity and bank details. Discentik supplies your signed in account email as the initial Stripe contact. In Ireland and Spain you accept Stripe's recipient agreement. In the United States you accept Stripe's full Connected Account Agreement, because Stripe only pays out across borders to accounts on that agreement; Stripe may ask for more business details. Your account only receives transfers from Discentik and is not used to take payments. After returning, refresh and review any outstanding requirements. If Stripe cannot verify the account, stored details remain visible with an explicit warning and account actions stay disabled until a successful refresh. Contact support if verification continues to fail; an old status is not proof that payouts are ready. The default course currency is EUR for Ireland and Spain, USD for the United States and AUD for Australia. A course has one canonical EUR, GBP, USD or AUD price. Stripe's recorded balance currency, exchange rate and fees determine the authoritative settlement evidence; Discentik does not invent a conversion rate. Paid course prices have a fixed catalogue range. EUR courses can be priced from €19.99 to €219.99; GBP courses from £19.99 to £199.99; and USD courses from $19.99 to $199.99. Enter 0 only when offering a free course. The course workspace shows the applicable range below the price field and rejects prices outside it. Read reference exchange rate estimates For a USD or GBP course, the commercial offer shows an estimated share only when the server has a valid reference rate. Reference exchange rate — estimate only shows how many units of the course currency equal 1 EUR, the reference date and attribution to the European Central Bank (ECB). This is free reference information: derived estimates are not transaction rates. The fixed AI charge remains identified in EUR, with its estimated course currency amount shown separately. EUR courses need no exchange rate card. The reference is frozen with the commercial offer. A new quote requires an available reference no more than seven days old; the browser does not invent a rate or replace missing amounts with zero. If a valid reference is unavailable, refresh the saved course quote or try again later. Existing accepted offers retain their frozen terms. Actual settlement continues to use Stripe's recorded exchange rate and fees, not this estimate. Your canonical course price is not automatically converted into other gross catalogue prices. GBP pricing does not open United Kingdom sales or seller onboarding. Choose promotion participation Open the course workspace and select Settings → Commerce → Discentik promotions . Paid courses participate by default. You can opt a course out of future platform campaigns or set its maximum discount in 5% increments, up to 90%. Platform Admin staff create the public sales and coupon codes; instructors do not need to coordinate individual campaign dates or distribute platform coupons. The workspace shows the published list price and the lowest campaign price allowed for the course. Every campaign must also remain above the protected minimum of 9.99 in the course currency or twice the accepted fixed AI and infrastructure cost, whichever is higher. For USD, GBP or AUD, the server converts twice the exact EUR cost using the offer's frozen reference rate and rounds the result up to the next cent. It does not double an already rounded converted charge. The workspace uses this exact server minimum in the course currency, alongside your maximum discount; without an accepted offer and the required evidence, the minimum is unavailable. Learners see the list price crossed out beside the lower price. Public sales and coupons do not stack: the lowest eligible price applies. Your earnings for a discounted sale use the amount the learner actually pays and the commercial agreement accepted for the course. Opting out stops future promotional checkouts but does not rewrite a completed purchase or an already reserved Checkout session. For an existing connected account, Manage payout account in Stripe opens its hosted account controls, even when new setup is paused, provided your financial access is still active. A verified account does not override a transfer pause. Share your referral link and coupons Your earning share depends on who brought the buyer. When Discentik brings the sale, you earn the marketplace share shown in your accepted offer (50% of the net). When the buyer comes through your own referral link or one of your coupons, you earn the referral share instead (85% of the net). The offer shows both shares, with an estimate for a referred sale, before you accept it. Open the course workspace and select Settings → Commerce → Your referral link and coupons . Copy your referral link and share it anywhere. A buyer who opens it and buys within 30 days counts as your referral; the most recent referral link they opened wins. You can also create your own coupon codes for the course, up to its maximum discount and for up to 31 days each, and end them at any time. Each buyer can use a coupon once. Buying your own course never counts as a referral. The share that applies is fixed when the buyer starts Checkout and is recorded with the sale, so later changes never rewrite a completed purchase. Read sales, statements and payouts Overview highlights Available for release : eligible earnings before final transfer checks, not cash available to withdraw or your bank balance. Pausing transfers does not erase the recorded amount. Future release dates, holds and unresolved payment details can keep earnings out of this figure. The Recent course transactions table shows the five most recent confirmed course purchases, with their dates, course titles, current earnings and statuses. Each row summarizes a purchase and its adjustments; it is not a complete ledger of every financial movement. Choose View all sales for the full breakdown. Expand Balance details for the remaining totals and release schedule. Outstanding earnings is the amount still owed, not lifetime income. Scheduled for release and On hold are parts of that total, not extra balances to add to it. Transferred to Stripe is net money already sent to the connected account; Bank payouts in progress is money Stripe is processing for the bank. Commercial terms show the standard marketplace share. A course may have separately accepted terms: use the share recorded for each sale to reconcile its earnings. Expired or abandoned checkout retries are not separate sales. A confirmed payment can await fee confirmation until its final earnings are reconciled. Sales shows course titles, purchase channels, seat counts, original currency, provider balance currency, deductions and resulting earnings. Amounts awaiting confirmation remain unresolved until their payment details are reconciled. Use the recorded terms and deductions for each sale when reviewing its amount. Statements groups financial records by sales month. Download CSV provides a private copy. CSV headings, channels and statuses follow your interface language; authored course titles keep their original language. Money is exported in whole minor units with a separate currency column: an EUR amount of 3441 means €34.41. Dates use UTC. Transferred to Stripe and a completed bank payout are separate events. Payouts shows the provider status and estimated arrival when available. A failed payout can require bank details or verification changes in Payout account . Contact support if you cannot resolve the displayed restriction. Australian manual bank payments Australian content owners use a verified manual bank payment route. Complete the licence agreement, payout terms and tax details; contact support to arrange secure beneficiary verification. This route does not require a Stripe Connect account. Do not enter full bank details in Discentik's tax or evidence fields. The existing release schedule still applies: sales become eligible on the seventh day of the second month after the sale month at 09:00 UTC, subject to recorded holds and verification. This is an eligibility date, not a guaranteed bank arrival date. Amounts owed remain recorded in EUR. Payouts shows the separately recorded bank amount and currency, including documented conversion when applicable. Prepared — not sent reserves an amount; Submitted — awaiting confirmation means the bank instruction has been recorded; Paid requires completion evidence. Partial payments leave the remaining earnings owed. Returned amounts appear separately, and unresolved or held earnings remain recorded. Protect your financial records Your records do not disclose buyer email addresses. Refunds, disputes, holds and adjustments can change available earnings; review the recorded statuses before assuming a balance is ready to reach your bank.
