You can browse every course without an account. To start learning, you need a free
Discentik account.

## 1. Find a course

1. Select **Explore** in the top bar.
2. Search by keyword or select **Filters** to narrow the list by topic.
3. Select a course card to open its page.

The course page shows what you'll learn, the modules, the instructor, reviews and the
price.

## 2a. Enrol in a free course

On a free course, select **Enrol for free**. The course is added to **My Learning**
and you can start straight away.

1. Select **Buy now** on the course page.
2. Check **Review your purchase**. It shows the course, the price you'll pay and any
   AI balance included with the course.
3. Have a discount code? Type it in **Coupon code** and select **Apply**.
4. Select **Continue to secure checkout**.
5. Enter your payment details on Stripe's secure page and pay.

When the payment goes through, you'll see a confirmation page. Select **Open course**
to start, or find the course later in **My Learning**. We also email you a receipt.

If you're not signed in when you select **Buy now**, we ask you to sign in or create
an account first, then bring you back to the same purchase. You're never charged for
creating an account.

## Good to know

- **Paying:** payments are handled by Stripe. Discentik never sees your card number.
- **Who can buy:** you need to be 16 or over and live in Ireland, Spain, the United
  States or Australia. If you're 16 or 17, a parent or guardian needs to approve the
  purchase first.
- **Discounts:** if a course is on sale, the original price is crossed out. Only one
  discount applies, and you always get the lower price.
- **Refunds:** you can ask for a refund within 30 days of buying a course. See

- **Receipts:** open **Profile → Purchase history** to download a PDF receipt at any time.

## Something went wrong?

- **The confirmation page says it's still checking your payment.** Wait a few seconds
  and select **Check again**. Don't pay a second time.
- **Checkout says it isn't available.** No payment was taken. Check that your country
  and age meet the requirements above, or [contact support](/contact).
- **The course isn't in My Learning.** Open **Profile → Purchase history** and select
  **Refresh**. If it still isn't there, [contact support](/contact) with your order
  reference. Never send your card details.

Find a course, then enrol for free or buy it in a few steps. It appears in My Learning straight away.

Buy or enrol in a course

Open **My Learning** and select the course you want to continue. Discentik saves
your progress as you complete the course, so you can leave and return with the same
account.

For a personal account, **My Learning** contains courses you enrolled in or bought.
For a Business account, it contains only courses assigned by your organisation.
Personal purchases and Business assignments are not combined in one account.

For a personal account, select **Explore courses** below the empty-library message
to find your first course. Once you have courses, the same action appears beside
**My Learning**. The top-bar **Explore** and course search also remain available on
**My Learning**, **Prompts**, and **Certificates**; the search within each page still
filters only that page's items. Organisation accounts do not receive these personal
acquisition actions.

To review the course overview, open the three-dot menu on its card and select
**View course details**. This opens the course description, curriculum, instructor,
and reviews without starting the course player.

When you reopen a course, saved conversations and work appear immediately as you
left them. Use the back control inside the course player to return to **My Learning**.

On desktop Learning routes, **Resume** opens the eligible in-progress course you
started most recently, not necessarily the last one you visited. Several courses
can stay in progress: use **My Learning** to choose a different one. Resume is hidden
inside the course player, on shared pages, and in other workspaces; switching
workspaces does not erase your progress. Hover over Resume or focus it with the
keyboard to see which course it will open. The title appears in a tooltip, leaving
the button label and size unchanged.

Start an enrolled or assigned course through **My Learning** or **Resume**. Opening
the course-player address by itself does not load course lessons. For more detail, read
[Understand course access and content protection](/help/learners/course-access-and-content-protection).

If you use an Organisation account and need a course assigned, contact your learning
manager. Members with learning-management access can use the organisation's
**Explore** navigation; its search results stay in the Organisation workspace. A shared
course-detail link may still offer **Request from organisation**. Read
[Understand Business account boundaries](/help/businesses/business-account-boundaries)
for the account separation rules.

If the course has more than one published release, select **Version** below the
bottom-right corner of the course player to review available versions. Opening an
earlier version or upgrading does not delete the history saved against another
version.

## Starting during pre-release

Protected learning requires confirmed age and residence eligibility and the relevant
learning permissions, including for existing accounts. When public registration is
enabled, a personal beta invitation is not required. Under the invitation-only staged
policy, a current personal invitation is also required. Eligible learners aged 16 or
over in Ireland, Spain, the United States or Australia can open an assigned or
purchased course. The United Kingdom remains marketing-only
while all current courses are paid; UK residents cannot register for
protected learning. Personal AI top-ups are available only to eligible active-market
accounts.
New purchases and top-ups also require their respective commercial approvals and
account, tax and provider checks; public registration alone does not enable them.

**My Learning** shows your acquired and assigned courses. Business learners still
need an organisation assignment. New personal and team purchases are available only
in Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia. UK registration, paid-course access and
purchases remain disabled until the separate UK release.

## Work through the stages

A course is divided into stages. A stage may contain reading, a guided AI
conversation, an evaluated exercise, a product walkthrough, or a document-writing
activity.

An introductory tour may appear before an activity. Select **Skip tour** on the
opening card or during any step to go straight to the activity. Skipping dismisses
the tour; you still need to complete the activity's requirements.

Read the instruction at the start of each stage and complete the requested activity.
Open the course navigation to move between stages and modules. You can return to any
completed module at any time. The module you are currently progressing through is also
available. Future modules show only their title and stage outline and remain disabled
until you complete the preceding modules.

When the stage is complete, use the available navigation to continue. Some evaluated
activities require a passing result before the next stage becomes available. Completing
a module immediately unlocks the next module without requiring you to restart the
course.

## Read your feedback

An evaluated activity is checked against a short list of requirements. If you have
not passed yet, the feedback starts with **Your next step**, then **What to fix** lists
each requirement that is missing or partly met, with the words from your work that
were checked and a suggestion to try. Select **Show what you did well** to see the
requirements you already meet. After a pass, select **View feedback** to see what
worked and optional ideas to make your work even stronger. **Attempt history** shows
the score of each attempt. Read [How Discentik grades your work](/help/getting-started/how-discentik-grades)
to see how the result is decided.

## Use AI activities safely

Follow the instructions provided in the course. Do not enter passwords, private keys,
confidential customer information, or sensitive personal information into an AI
activity.

If an AI response is temporarily unavailable, wait a moment and try again. Your
completed course progress should remain saved.

In Chat activities, you can copy a message, edit one of your earlier prompts, or
regenerate an answer. Editing or regenerating starts again from that point in the
conversation, so later messages from the previous branch are replaced.

In Canvas activities, quick actions edit the document directly without adding their
internal instruction to the visible conversation. Select document text and choose
**Ask Discentik** to attach that excerpt above the composer while keeping your own
message separate. Hover or focus the attachment marker to locate the excerpt in the
document; select its close control to remove it. Restoring an older document version
creates a new current version; it does not delete the draft you were viewing.

Selecting **Restart** in a Canvas activity starts a fresh attempt. It clears that
new attempt's conversation, restores the course's starting document, and starts a
separate document-version list. Earlier attempts remain available in **Attempt
history** with the chat and document versions that belong to them.

Attempt history includes the newest attempt as well as earlier ones. **Current**
identifies whichever attempt you have selected; it does not mean a separate temporary
conversation. If you select an older attempt and send another message, the message is
added to that same numbered attempt. Other attempts remain available so you can move
between them without replacing their chat or Canvas document.

## Save important work

Course progress and a document you create are different things. If you need a final
document outside Discentik, copy or export it before leaving the activity.

When a Chat activity offers **Save prompt**, select it to add your prompt to **My
prompts**. A confirmation appears after it is saved. Prompts saved from a course show
their originating course and activity for context; prompts you create directly in
**My prompts** do not show a course source.

## Complete the course

The course is complete after you satisfy the completion requirements set for all
required stages. When you reach the final stage, a completion screen replaces the
course activities. It shows the course, your completion date and any closing message
from the course author. Select **View certificate** to open or prepare your
certificate. If the certificate cannot open, your completion remains saved; select
**View certificate** again to retry.

From the completion screen, select **Start again** for a clean practice pass from the
first stage, or **Review stages** to reopen the activities you completed. Practice and
review use your available AI balance, but do not change your official result,
completion date, certificate or earlier response history. Reaching the final stage
again returns you to the completion screen. Use **My Learning** to return to your
courses. Personal accounts can also select **Explore courses**. Reopening a completed
course shows the completion screen first.

If a course remains incomplete after you finish its visible activities, reopen it and
check for a stage that still needs a response, document, or passing evaluation.

Open My Learning and select the course you want to continue. Discentik saves your progress as you complete the course, so you can leave and return with the same account. For a personal account, My Learning contains courses you enrolled in or bought. For a Business account, it contains only courses assigned by your organisation. Start and complete a course

A guided tour may introduce an activity or a newly available tool. Follow the
instruction on each card. Other activity controls remain unavailable while the
tour is open.

## Move through a tour

Select **Next** to continue reading. When a card asks you to select a highlighted
item, select that item to continue instead. For example, open **Context** to read
the supporting information, or select **+** and then **Deep research** to see how
that tool is selected.

The exercise tour introduces the task, context, and tips separately. The chat bar
highlight includes the message area, tools menu, and **Send** button.

## Try the tool demonstrations

Deep research and Web search demonstrations show the selected tool without sending
a message. Your previous tool choice returns when the tour ends. The attachment
demonstration shows where to add files without opening your file picker.

Select **Skip tour** to return to the activity. Skipping the tour does not complete
the activity's requirements.

## Find your way around the workspace

On small screens, Chat activities use **Instructions** and **Chat** tabs. Canvas
activities use **Instructions**, **Chat**, and **Canvas**. The walkthrough brings
the relevant view into sight as you move through its steps. Tool demonstrations
wait until you open Chat.

The Canvas tour introduces direct editing, selecting text for **Ask Discentik**,
quick edits, document history, change comparison, and copying or exporting your
work. A demonstration does not send an AI request or evaluate your work.

After the tour, the course menu in the activity header opens stage navigation.
Accessibility settings are also in the header. Where evaluation is available,
select **Evaluate** when your work is ready, read the feedback, and revise if
needed. Continue when the activity's requirements are met. Completing or skipping
a tour does not meet those requirements for you.

Paid course content opens only for the account that purchased the course or received
an assignment. A course being visible in the public catalogue does not grant access
to its lessons. Membership of the same organisation also does not grant access by
itself; the organisation must assign a licence to you.

## Course access during early access

Public course descriptions, prices and instructor profiles remain available without
an account. Browsing a course or receiving an assistant recommendation does not grant
access to its lessons.

Learning requires current eligibility, including for existing accounts and
organisation members. Enabled public registration does not require a personal beta
invitation. Under the invitation-only staged policy, a current personal invitation is
also required. Organisation processing approval and learning permissions still apply.
Residents aged
16 or older in Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia are the prepared audience;
under-16 and school/pupil-data processing are not part of this release. The United
Kingdom is marketing-only while UK commerce is disabled: UK residents
cannot register for protected access or open paid courses. People aged 16–17 in an
active market can learn and use their approved AI balance but cannot author, publish,
sell or administer finance or organisations.

New checkout is available only in Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia. United
Kingdom checkout and paid-course access remain disabled until a separate UK release.
Checkout also requires commercial approval and the applicable account, tax and
provider checks; public registration alone does not enable purchases.
After activation, a 16–17-year-old buyer
also needs an active guardian authorisation specifically for purchasing. A checkout
restriction does not cancel existing purchases or remove existing purchase remedies.
Provider test payments do not create real purchases. Rights, support and eligibility
correction remain available independently of admission.

The usual payment, assignment, account, membership and AI balance rules apply.
An invitation does not include every course or unlimited AI usage.

## Open an authorised course

Sign in, open **My Learning**, and select the course. Discentik checks your current
purchase or assignment before starting or resuming the course. A direct link to the
standalone course player does not contain course data and cannot start a course.

If your access was removed, the course was withdrawn for safety, or you signed in with a different
account, the course will not load. Ask the purchaser or organisation owner to check
your assignment before contacting support.

## How content is released

The player receives the approved course release associated with your learning run,
not an instructor's editable draft. It loads the module you are currently taking and
every module you have completed, so you can move back through earlier material. Later
modules expose only navigation metadata—module titles plus stage titles, types, order,
and estimated duration—and remain disabled until your saved progress reaches them.

If an instructor unpublishes a course, new learners cannot find or buy it. A learner
who already bought it can still open the approved release from **My Learning**.

Hidden evaluation instructions, rubrics, answer keys, and instructor prompts are not
included in the learner-facing course data. Private course media uses temporary links
that are issued only after access, learning-run ownership, and a released module are
checked. These links normally expire after ten minutes. A learner cannot browse the
underlying private video or resource storage directly, and a link for a later module
is not issued before that module is released.

After the course is completed, all modules remain available for practice. AI practice
continues to use the applicable course, purchased, personal, or organisation credit
balance. Practice attempts and saved revisions are labelled separately and cannot
replace the official result, completion date, or certificate evidence.

Posting course ratings or reviews requires adult eligibility. Children and accounts
whose adult eligibility is unresolved cannot publish them; choosing **Anonymous**
does not bypass this restriction. Ratings and written reviews follow the course they
belong to. When you post or update
a review, choose **Anonymous** to hide your identity or **Public profile** to show your
name with a link to your public profile. A public review requires your profile to be
set to public in **Profile** settings. You can change this choice whenever you update
your review.

Reviews on a course listed in the public catalogue are public. On a course that is not
publicly listed — for example an organisation's internal course — the ratings and
review text are visible only to people who can already open that course and to the
people who run it. While your account is active, you can see your own review even
if you no longer have access to the course.

## AI access

AI activities require a short-lived session created from your authorised course run.
The session is tied to your account, course, release, and learning progress. Public
catalogue access or a standalone player link does not create an AI balance. Course
access is checked again when an AI request is made, so removing an assignment or
withdrawing a course stops an existing session rather than waiting for it to expire.

## Responsible use

These controls prevent unauthorised access and make bulk extraction harder. Like any
web learning service, Discentik cannot prevent an authorised learner from manually
copying or recording material that is legitimately displayed to them. Do not share,
republish, automate extraction of, or distribute course content unless the applicable
licence or course owner permits it.

Automated or implausibly rapid progression and repeated media-link requests may be
temporarily limited. Normal viewing, downloading an available worksheet, and resuming
a course are not affected by these safeguards.

Paid course content opens only for the account that purchased the course or received an assignment. A course being visible in the public catalogue does not grant access to its lessons. Membership of the same organisation also does not grant access by itself; the organisation must assign a licence to you. New checkout is available only in Ireland, Spain, the United States and Australia. United Kingdom checkout and paid course access remain disabled until a separate UK release. Checkout also requires commercial approval and the applicable account, tax and provider checks; public registration alone does not enable purchases. After activation, a 16–17 year old buyer also needs an active guardian authorisation specifically for purchasing. A checkout restriction does not cancel existing purchases or remove existing purchase remedies. Provider test payments do not create real purchases. Rights, support and eligibility correction remain available independently of admission. The usual payment, assignment, account, membership and AI balance rules apply. An invitation does not include every course or unlimited AI usage. Open an authorised course Sign in, open My Learning , and select the course. Discentik checks your current purchase or assignment before starting or resuming the course. A direct link to the standalone course player does not contain course data and cannot start a course. If your access was removed, the course was withdrawn for safety, or you signed in with a different account, the course will not load. Ask the purchaser or organisation owner to check your assignment before contacting support. How content is released The player receives the approved course release associated with your learning run, not an instructor's editable draft. It loads the module you are currently taking and every module you have completed, so you can move back through earlier material. Later modules expose only navigation metadata—module titles plus stage titles, types, order, and estimated duration—and remain disabled until your saved progress reaches them. If an instructor unpublishes a course, new learners cannot find or buy it. A learner who already bought it can still open the approved release from My Learning . Hidden evaluation instructions, rubrics, answer keys, and instructor prompts are not included in the learner facing course data. Private course media uses temporary links that are issued only after access, learning run ownership, and a released module are checked. These links normally expire after ten minutes. A learner cannot browse the underlying private video or resource storage directly, and a link for a later module is not issued before that module is released. After the course is completed, all modules remain available for practice. AI practice continues to use the applicable course, purchased, personal, or organisation credit balance. Practice attempts and saved revisions are labelled separately and cannot replace the official result, completion date, or certificate evidence. Posting course ratings or reviews requires adult eligibility. Children and accounts whose adult eligibility is unresolved cannot publish them; choosing Anonymous does not bypass this restriction. Ratings and written reviews follow the course they belong to. When you post or update a review, choose Anonymous to hide your identity or Public profile to show your name with a link to your public profile. A public review requires your profile to be set to public in Profile settings. You can change this choice whenever you update your review. Reviews on a course listed in the public catalogue are public. On a course that is not publicly listed — for example an organisation's internal course — the ratings and review text are visible only to people who can already open that course and to the people who run it. While your account is active, you can see your own review even if you no longer have access to the course. AI access AI activities require a short lived session created from your authorised course run. The session is tied to your account, course, release, and learning progress. Public catalogue access or a standalone player link does not create an AI balance. Course access is checked again when an AI request is made, so removing an assignment or withdrawing a course stops an existing session rather than waiting for it to expire. Responsible use These controls prevent unauthorised access and make bulk extraction harder. Like any web learning service, Discentik cannot prevent an authorised learner from manually copying or recording material that is legitimately displayed to them. Do not share, republish, automate extraction of, or distribute course content unless the applicable licence or course owner permits it. Automated or implausibly rapid progression and repeated media link requests may be temporarily limited. Normal viewing, downloading an available worksheet, and resuming a course are not affected by these safeguards.

Understand course access and content protection

Open **My Learning** to see the current state of each enrolled or assigned course.
Organisation assignments may include a due date. A course can be marked due soon or
overdue, but an overdue label does not by itself remove access.

Open the course card to continue. If the deadline appears incorrect, contact your
organisation rather than buying or enrolling again; organisation administrators own
assignment dates.

Certificates are available only for eligible courses after their completion rules are
satisfied. Open **Certificates** from the Learning workspace to review issued
certificates. If a completed course is missing, reopen it and check whether a required
stage, response, document, or passing evaluation remains incomplete.

You can also select **View certificate** in the **Course completed** summary after
your completion is saved. If opening the certificate fails, retry the same action;
your completed course remains saved.

## Private certificates and reviewed results

Certificates for under-18s, school-directed learners and accounts without established
adult eligibility remain private. Sign in to your own account to view them; sending
someone the link does not give them access. Public sharing is available only to
eligible adults outside school-directed learning.

A human correction can change whether completion requirements are met. If a corrected
result no longer meets them, the affected certificate is no longer valid until you
meet the requirements again. Your original attempt and later saved work are preserved.
If you disagree with a recent AI-marked result, open **Profile → Records and requests →
Review an AI learning result**. Use [support](/contact) for older or missing results.

Private certificates and reviewed results

4. Send your question. Review and confirm the estimated AI usage shown before continuing.
5. Read the answer and inspect the sources returned with it.

Deep research already uses web search. Selecting it replaces the **Web search**
tool selection, and selecting Web search replaces Deep research. Choosing a mode
does not send your draft: you still decide when to send it. Research can take
longer than a regular reply.

If you cannot see the tool, the activity may not enable it or you may be viewing
a read-only preview. Do not expect every course to include research activities.

## Check the evidence

Use the source control on a response when sources are returned. Open the original
pages, check who published them and whether they support the answer's claims.
Ask the AI to distinguish supported findings from suggestions and uncertainty.
Sources and AI answers can be incomplete or mistaken; their presence does not
guarantee that every claim is correct.

Research a question with AI

Open your account menu and select **Profile**. Profile settings are organised into
sections for personal details, preferences, public visibility, security, and workspace
access.

Public profiles and posting course reviews require adult eligibility. These are
unavailable to under-18s and while adult eligibility is unresolved. Choosing an
anonymous review does not remove this restriction. Private learning and saved work
do not require a public profile. Review public-profile controls before publishing
information, and only enable fields you intend other people to see.
**Cookie settings** in the footer lets you accept, reject
or independently change optional analytics and session replay. Accept and Reject are equally available; optional
capture requires consent and adult eligibility. Your choice lasts 180 days, after which you
are asked again. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from learning.

Google Analytics measures traffic and navigation. PostHog measures product usage,
page performance and filtered error reports. Where separately approved and available,
session replay records public pages after its own consent. This includes the home
page, public audience pages, Contact, course details and Help articles. If you agreed
while signed out from 11 October 2026, recordings show those pages as they appear,
including their text and images; earlier choices and signed-in recordings stay masked.
Forms and their contents, anything you type and the website assistant are always
excluded on those pages. From 12 October 2026, sign-up and sign-in pages are also
recorded with all their text and fields hidden, showing only layout, scrolling and
clicks. Eligible sessions on supported pages can all be
recorded while traffic is low. If the
separate player visual feature is approved, its controls appear as a masked view;
lesson content, documents, answers, conversations and drawers are excluded. Children
and unknown ages remain excluded. The
pageview events Discentik sends deliberately filter locations and titles, and its
error reports exclude authored content. Turning a purpose off stops new collection
for that purpose; the account-wide opt-out stops both analytics and replay. It does not recall
information already sent. Course progress, completion and saved exercise work still
need to be processed so the course can function and you can resume.

The unused optional-preferences control has been removed. The
language you explicitly select remains available independently of optional consent.

## Choose your interface language

While signed in, open **Profile > Account** and use **Interface language** to choose
**English** or **Español**. The language selector is hidden from the navigation bar
while you are signed in, including on mobile.

While signed out, open **EN** or **ES** at the far right of the navigation bar.
The selector is also available on sign-in pages. On public pages, you can use
**Language** in the footer whether you are signed in or out. The current language
has a checkmark.
Your choice applies to the Platform and the Course Player, including controls, system
messages, and the Help Centre. While signed in, the preference is saved to your
profile; the browser also remembers an explicit choice after you sign out.

Changing the interface language does not translate authored course content, exercise
answers, messages, or public-profile text. A course's teaching language stays the same.
New system emails and notifications use the recipient's language when they are
queued; an already queued message keeps its original language.

## Shared text safety checks

Your display name receives an automated safety check because it can appear on
messages even when your profile is private. For a profile visible to other people,
its public address, headline, biography and links are also checked. If the text is
rejected or the check is unavailable, the previous saved version remains unchanged.
Private biographies and links are not sent to this check. Website and social links
must use valid web addresses.

Course review comments are also checked when saved. Eligible adults can review a course
only after starting it and while you still have access.
Comments are limited to 2000 characters. These checks do not guarantee that every
item is appropriate: use the reporting controls if you find a concern.

Each account can request up to 20 shared-text safety checks per 10-minute window,
across profile and review saves. If you reach the limit, wait before saving again.

## Profile photos and account controls

Profile photos are first resized in your browser to reduce the upload. The trusted
platform server then decodes and re-encodes every accepted photo as compressed WebP,
which prevents a modified client from retaining embedded source metadata such as GPS
camera fields. Only those server-generated bytes are sent to OpenAI for automated
content-safety screening and then stored privately. A photo is not uploaded when validation,
server compression, or OpenAI safety screening cannot complete. Animated images are
stored as a static optimized image.

New photos stay private while you preview them. Other people can receive a
short-lived photo link only when your saved profile audience permits it. Making
the profile private stops new shared links; an already issued link expires within
60 seconds. This does not recall copies already downloaded. Older uploaded photos
may still have public links: contact support to review their removal.

The platform checks upload allowances before reading the photo. Each account can
start up to 20 image attempts in 10 minutes and 100 in a rolling 24-hour period;
shared network limits are 60 attempts in 10 minutes and 300 in 24 hours. At most
four uploads, totalling 20 MB, can be in progress for one account. Network addresses
are represented by a one-way keyed identifier for these checks rather than stored in
the upload ledger as plain addresses; that identifier is eligible for removal from
the ledger after 24 hours. A denied image is not screened or stored, and
interrupted or rejected uploads are removed automatically.

Use **Profile > Security** to change your password, manage two-factor authentication
and passkeys, and review **Active sessions**. Each entry identifies the browser and
device, when it signed in, and its latest activity. You can sign out one other
session, sign out every other device while keeping the current one, or sign out the
current device. These controls are kept in Security rather than the navigation menu.

For a low-friction learning experience, an active session can continue for up to
180 days and expires after 90 days without activity. The short-lived access token is
renewed in the background while the session remains valid. Revoked devices may keep
an already issued access token only until that short token expires. Never share
recovery links, passwords, or one-time codes.

Workspace access explains which product areas your account can use. Organisation
roles are managed by an organisation Admin; platform-level access is managed
separately and should not be requested through a course instructor.

The **Purchase history** section in Profile shows retained purchase
confirmations and cancellation records. It is separate from **Records and requests**,
which is reserved for privacy requests and optional review of an AI-marked learning
result. Course earnings and payout settings remain inside the relevant Instructor or
Organisation workspace.

Select **Manage workspaces** from the account menu to open **Profile > Workspaces**
directly. An eligible adult personal learner who has not enabled Instructor also sees an **Instructor**
button in the top navigation. It opens **Profile > Workspaces** and focuses the
Instructor setup action. Once Instructor is enabled, the top navigation shows a
Learning and Instructor workspace chooser. Accounts with only one available workspace
and no eligible setup action do not show a redundant workspace button. If you try to
open a workspace that your account cannot use, the platform returns you to
**Profile > Workspaces** with a focused explanation and the appropriate next action.

Open [Privacy requests](/account/privacy) from Profile to request access, export,
correction, erasure, restriction or objection. Verify the request with your password
or a one-time code sent to your verified account email. If you use an external
sign-in provider, you do not need to create a password. Requests remain processing
while supplier cleanup or a required review is outstanding. Platform and
organisation ownership may require an audited handover before closure; this does
not prevent you from submitting a request.
The [Privacy Policy](/privacy) explains the retention periods that apply after account
deletion and to payment, support, security, analytics, and moderation records.

After a reviewed export is ready, verify again to download it from Privacy requests.
The temporary export expires after seven days. It includes an explanatory manifest;
support explains any redactions, exceptions or separate supplier response.

You can always use [Contact](/contact), including if you cannot sign in or use the
account interface. Support can help with all privacy rights. Requests normally
receive a response within one month, with any permitted extension explained within
that month. Account ownership or organisation responsibilities may require a handover
before closure; these do not remove your right to submit a privacy request.

3. Write your question and select **Send**. You can ask before enrolling. Messages support text up to 5,000 characters.

Open **Messages** in My Learning or follow an in-app notification. Select a conversation to read and reply. Conversations stay separate for each course and instructor; earlier conversations remain in the list. Use **Load more conversations** and **Load older messages** to see older content.

In **Profile > Notifications**, switch **Course messages and replies** on or off. This controls new in-app alerts only. Messages still arrive when alerts are off; return to Messages to check them. No email notification is sent.

Only available course instructors can receive new questions. If access changes, a conversation or its reply box may become unavailable. Use the message reporting control for inappropriate content. Never send passwords, payment details or confidential documents.

You can attach files when the instructor has enabled uploads for that exercise.
The exercise selects one supported file type; the upload control shows which type
you can use. Preview mode does not accept learner uploads.

You can attach up to five files, with a combined maximum of 50 MB per message.
Each PDF, Word document, or text file can be up to 25 MB; each image can be up to
20 MB; a CSV file can be up to 50 MB. Lower limits may apply.

The server checks the actual file contents as well as the selected type and size.
Renaming a file does not change its format. Corrupt or mismatched files are rejected
before AI processing. These format checks are not an antivirus guarantee.

Only attach files that you have permission to share with the AI. Do not upload
passwords, private keys, or personal information that is unnecessary for the exercise.
Files are sent to the AI provider for your request; course history stores attachment
metadata rather than a public copy of the original file.

Files are sent to the AI provider for your request; course history stores attachment metadata rather than a public copy of the original file. If a file is rejected, check its type, export a new copy from its original application, reduce its size, or remove attachments until the combined size fits.

Check the allowed file type and size before sharing a file with the AI.

Attach files to an exercise

You can report a course or instructor profile while signed in. A report creates a
confidential moderation case for authorised Discentik administrators. It does not
automatically remove content or suspend an account.
You receive a confirmation notification when the report is accepted and another update
when the moderation team resolves or dismisses its case. The notification gives a case
number, but internal evidence and investigation notes remain confidential.

## Report a course

1. Open the course from **Explore**.
2. Select **More options**, then **Report course**.
3. Choose the concern, add a short summary, and describe where you saw the issue.
4. Select **Submit report** and keep the displayed case number if you need to contact support.

While taking a course, you can also select **Report course** below the player. This
attaches the release you are learning from, which may differ from the latest public
release. Describe the module, stage, picture, file, or AI response that concerns you.
The report does not automatically copy your private AI conversations.

## Report a review or message

Select **Report review** below another learner's review, or **Report message** below
a received message in your conversation or instructor inbox. Choose a concern and
explain the problem. The selected review or message is copied into private evidence
for authorised moderators. A message report includes its sender and thread reference,
but does not automatically copy other messages from the conversation.

Reports preserve the relevant course release reference or a copy of the selected
content at submission, so moderators can distinguish it from later edits.

## Report an instructor profile

Open the instructor's public profile, select **Report profile**, and complete the same
form. The button is not shown for the application-owned Discentik profile.

Include only information needed to verify the concern. Do not submit passwords,
payment-card details, medical records, or unrelated personal information. You can send
up to five reports in 24 hours, and recent duplicate reports about the same account
or course are blocked. Contact support with the existing case number to add details.
For an immediate threat or emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service.

If the moderation team applies an access restriction, it sends the affected account or
course owner a private appeal link by email when email delivery is configured. The link
works without signing in, expires after 30 days, and can be used once. Do not share it.

Open the link, explain why the decision should be reconsidered, and select **Submit

administrator other than the person who applied the restriction or made the original
