Start a conversation

1. Open the course details or your course in My Learning.

2. Select Contact instructor beside the instructor. Their name still opens their public profile. If you are signed out, sign in to return to the selected course and instructor.

3. Write your question and select Send. You can ask before enrolling. Messages support text up to 5,000 characters.

Read and reply

Open Messages in My Learning or follow an in-app notification. Select a conversation to read and reply. Conversations stay separate for each course and instructor; earlier conversations remain in the list. Use Load more conversations and Load older messages to see older content.

In Profile > Notifications, switch Course messages and replies on or off. This controls new in-app alerts only. Messages still arrive when alerts are off; return to Messages to check them. No email notification is sent.

Only available course instructors can receive new questions. If access changes, a conversation or its reply box may become unavailable. Use the message reporting control for inappropriate content. Never send passwords, payment details or confidential documents.
