Your account

Who can use Discentik?

Anyone aged 16 or over who lives in Ireland, Spain, the United States or Australia.
Creating an account is free.

How do I create an account?

Select Get started, choose your country and date of birth, then continue with
Google, Microsoft or your email. If you use email, type the 8-digit code we send you.

I didn't get the confirmation code

Check your spam or junk folder, then select Resend code on the same screen. Keep
that tab open while you wait. See Trouble signing in.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? and follow the link we email you.

How do I change my password, language or other settings?

Open your avatar in the top-right corner and select Profile. Change your password
in Security and the interface language in Account.

How do I delete my account?

Open Profile → Account and scroll to Danger zone.

Finding and buying courses

How do I find a course?

Select Explore in the top bar. You can search by keyword and filter by topic.
You don't need an account to browse.

Are there free courses?

Yes. Free courses show Free on their card. Open the course and select
Enrol for free. See Buy or enrol in a course.

How do I buy a course?

Open the course, select Buy now, check the price in Review your purchase and
select Continue to secure checkout. You pay on Stripe's secure page and the course
appears in My Learning straight after. See Buy or enrol in a course.

Can I use a discount code?

Yes. Type it in the Coupon code box in Review your purchase and select Apply.
Only one discount applies per purchase.

Where are my courses?

Select My Learning in the top bar. Every course you enrolled in or bought is there.

How do I continue where I left off?

Open the course from My Learning. Your progress and work are saved automatically.
On a computer, Resume in the top bar reopens the course you started most recently.

Can I learn on my phone?

Yes. Discentik works in your phone's browser. There is nothing to install.

How long do I keep access to a course?

You keep access while the course stays available and your account stays active.
Finishing a course does not end your access.

How do I get a certificate?

Complete every required part of an eligible course. Then select View certificate
in the course summary, or open Certificates in My Learning.

Where is my receipt?

Open Profile → Purchase history and select Download receipt (PDF).

Can I get a refund?

Yes. You can ask for a refund on an individual course within 30 days of buying it.
Use the refund request form and include your order reference.

AI balance (credits)

What is AI balance?

AI balance (some people call it credits) pays for the AI features in your courses,
such as AI conversations and feedback on your work. Paid courses usually include
some. Reading lessons and writing on your own never use it.

How do I buy more AI balance?

Open Profile → AI usage, choose a package or enter an amount from €5 to €100, and
pay on Stripe. See Buy more AI balance.

What happens if I run out?

You can keep reading and doing activities that don't use AI. To keep using AI
features, buy more AI balance.

Teaching on Discentik

How do I become an instructor?

Select Instructor in the top bar, then turn on the Instructor workspace. You need
to be 18 or over. See Start teaching on Discentik.

How do I create a course?

In the Instructor workspace, open My Courses, select Create course and give it
a name. See Start teaching on Discentik.

How do I publish my course?

Open Publishing in your course and select Submit public update. Our team
reviews it before learners can see it. See Publish your saved course changes.

How do I get paid?

Open Instructor → Earnings → Payout account and select Set up payout account.

Teams and organisations

How do I create an organisation account?

Select Get started, choose Organisation, and register with your work email.
After confirming your email, accept the Organisation Terms and select
Create organisation. See Create an organisation account.

Can I buy courses for my team?

Yes. From your organisation account, open Explore, pick a paid course and select
Buy seats. See Buy course licences and assign them to a team.

How do I add people to my organisation?

Open Organisation → Team and invite each person by email.

Can I use my personal account for my organisation?

No. Organisations use a separate account with a different email address, such as
your work email. See Understand Organisation account boundaries.
