Manage reusable course templates

Platform Admin controls which reusable course templates authors can browse and copy.
Only an Active template with an approved, published release is available through
ordinary template, catalogue, and learning access. A template owner can continue to
work on a non-active template without exposing it to other users.

Review template status

1. Open Platform Admin, then Templates.

2. Search by template title, summary, or owner.

3. Optionally filter the list to Draft, Active, or Retired templates.

4. Check the lifecycle badge, template version, owner, and last-updated time.

5. Choose Load more templates when it appears. Search and lifecycle filters run
   across the Platform catalogue, not only the templates already loaded on screen.

The lifecycle states are:

• Draft — private to its authorised owner and Platform management. It cannot be
  browsed, copied, or played through ordinary learner and author access.

• Active — available for reuse after its current course release is approved and
  published.

• Retired — removed immediately from ordinary browsing, reuse, and playback while
  remaining available to Platform management for history and a possible reactivation.

Activate a template

1. Confirm that the template's current source revision completed course review and
   that its exact approved snapshot was published.

2. In Templates, change its lifecycle to Active.

3. If activation is refused, return the course to its owner to complete approval and
   publication before trying again.

An Active or Retired template is immutable. Choose Draft before the owner revises
it. Any source, module, category, industry, or instructor change makes the previous
approval stale. Submit the revised Draft for review and publish its new approved
snapshot before activating it again.

Activating a revised template advances its reusable template version. Reactivating a
Retired template also creates the next lifecycle version. Neither action alters
courses that were copied from an earlier version.

Remove a template from reuse

Choose Draft when the owner needs to revise the source before it is offered again.
Choose Retired when the reusable source should no longer be offered. Existing
courses previously copied from that template are independent and are not withdrawn by
this change.

If the page reports that the change was saved but the refreshed list was unavailable,
refresh Templates and check Audit log before repeating the action.
